Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $100,495.83
Mid = $130,644.58
Max = $160,793.32

Summary:
The Supervisor Clinical RN provides leadership to a specified department utilizing clinical expertise to achieve evidence based practice for the given area; utilizes leadership and managerial skills to facilitate day to day operations of the specified unit to ensure safe, consistent, quality care and outcomes for patients and families by ensuring the mission, vision, and values of the organization are incorporated into all aspects of the role.

Responsibilities:
Acts as unit(s) Clinical Supervisor; participates in the selection, orientation, supervision, education, evaluation and delivery of services; provides human resource management for area of responsibility including ensuring appropriate staff are available to meet the needs of the unit, providing input into the selection process, setting clear work expectations and coaching employees as needed for success.

Assists in the development of a budget for unit and the creative allocation of resources within budget limits (including personnel, services, space, supplies, and equipment) to accomplish the objectives of the organization to assure quality outcomes.

Participates in development and monitoring of policies and procedures, CQI/QA/QC process to assure quality outcomes; supervises personnel in documentation, record keeping, statistical analysis, evaluation and distribution of information; ensures core and unit competencies of staff in compliance with state and federal regulations; participates in the development and revision of department policies, procedures, and standards of care to assure current levels of practice.

Participates in unit based Performance Improvement activities; involves staff with development, implementation and evaluation of the PI program; demonstrates knowledge of PI techniques tools and leadership skills including focus PDCA process as a result of the completion of and ongoing attendance at formalized training sessions; supports PI efforts by actively participating in or initiating quality improvement teams when appropriate; encourages and supports staff participation in the ongoing operations using the focus PDCA process and/or Lean Six Sigma.

Facilitates and maintains functional and cross-functional relationships through effective communication, participation in meetings, collaborative education and ongoing daily interactions; demonstrates the leadership skills necessary to establish expectations, develop plans, to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care provided by staff members.

Fosters an environment that empowers employees to implement innovative solutions, processes, and practices; maintains and demonstrates expertise in performing basic and advanced nursing skills required by the assigned clinical area consistent with standards of care and hospital procedures; integrates advanced knowledge of functional health patterns, pathophysiology, and psycho/sociology, in the clinical management of a specified population of patients; participates in patient care conference, both formal and informal; clinically collaborates with primary customers on complex, patient related issues; integrates emerging technology, research and trends in the clinical management of patients based on evidence; provides feedback to staff to enhance assessment skills; supports and identifies programs ensuring continuing education of all staff members in order to meet organizational goals and individual position competencies; acts as a liaison between Unit and other nursing areas, committees, and medical staff to promote competency and continuum of care.

Actively participates in professional organizations that promote clinical knowledge and professional practice; defines and role models best given discipline practice using the standard curriculum and other resources.

Provides direct patient care within scope of practice as needed.
