Mid = $26.19

Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician I, under the supervision and direction of a licensed pharmacist, performs drug distribution activities including: delivery of medications to patient care and procedural areas, preparing & labeling unit dose medications, preparing parenteral compounded sterile preparations, restocking automated dispensing cabinets, and assisting with basic medication inventory maintenance. They provide professional and courteous service by answering and triaging phone calls and responding to medication requests from nursing and outside customers.
Responsibilities:
Delivers medication to patient care and procedural areas. Prepares & labels unit dose medications. Restocks automated dispensing cabinets. Performs basic inventory maintenance. Provides customer service: answering phone calls, responding to missing medication requests. Servicing departmental or outside customer medication requests. Prepares parenteral compounded sterile preparations. Other duties as assigned.

* CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (CPhT)

* HS DIPLOMA/GED
Other information:
Minimum Education Required: Arizona Pharmacy Technician license in good standing. Active National Pharmacy Certification by PTCB or other nationally recognized certification organization. 0 - 3 years of Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Certified Pharmacy Technician experience. Preferred Education: 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in an acute care environment
