Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $16.00
Mid = $18.40
Max = $20.80

Summary:

The Patient Experience Representative is a healthcare professional who works to improve the overall experience of patients and their families. The PX Rep is responsible for building the internal capacity through strong engagement with staff, physicians and volunteers to improve the patient and family experience and ensure patient safety practices support a positive patient experience and best outcomes.


Responsibilities:

Works with patients and their caretakers to increase engagement and help them overcome barriers in their healthcare journey. 

Rounds on all patients to proactively address comfort care concerns Labels patient personal belongings (reduce lost items frequency) and sign-up, ipad distribution). 

Identifies needs and delivers care items. Assist with meal ordering. 

Assists with FaceTime/Skype family communication. 

Assist with low intensity mobility requests and with access to patient care technology in the room and on the unit (electronic white board, MyCare sign-up, ipad distribution). 

Delivers unit specific PX/CA instruction on improvement initiatives. 

Connects patients back with their clinicians as needed to address questions and concerns regarding clinical treatment and condition and serves as the interface between the patients and others in the healthcare system, including providers, clinics, pharmacies, etc. 

Contributes to the early stages of an innovative improvement process. 

Acts as the liaison between the clinical floor and the Care Advocates to facilitate the satisfactory resolution of patient concerns and helps inform Yuma Regional Medical Center’s clinical protocols.
