Summary:
The Experience Care Advocate Specialist serves as a resource to staff (medical staff, nursing, management, volunteers and all other employees) in planning, coordinating, implementing, and educating staff on processes in support of a healing culture and a positive overall experience. The Experience Care Advocate Specialist supports all the consumers of healthcare services in such a way as to promote patient, family, staff and physician satisfaction through investigation and resolution of complaints regarding quality of care.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates review and resolution of consumer complaints concerning the quality of care and services by providing and coordinating a complaint and grievance system for the organization.
Collaborates with all leadership to identify complaint trends. Give feedback to facilitate system improvements to better meet the consumer’s needs.
Utilizes understanding of the hospital’s mission, policies, procedures, and services in order to respond to consumer questions and concerns.
Works closely with internal and external parties to manage and facilitate high visibility processes and projects which enhance satisfaction and focus on the patient’s overall experience.
Responsible for the implementation and sustainability of experience initiatives to improve the patient experience across the YRMC system.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three (3) or more years related experience
