Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Mid = $27.25
Max = $32.70

Summary:
Under the direction of the IT Training Director, this position utilizes organizational and computer skills to design, develop and implement curriculum and applications to enhance the educational opportunities for all YRMC employees. Assesses educational needs, objectives, and curriculum to determine appropriateness for web-based curriculum development. Designs, develops, and implements all phases of web-based training courses using industry-standard tools. Evaluates the effectiveness of web-based courses and training programs utilizing relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes and modifications. Designs and develops basic computer skills and Epic applications courses/micro learnings.


Responsibilities:

Designs and develops online training courses, as well as customized instructional materials using a variety of tools and applications, including audio, video, animation, narrated presentations, podcasts, webcasts, simulations, and virtual learning environments.

Designs and develops easy to use e-learning tools with intuitive interfaces.

Conducts ongoing assessment and maintenance of e-learning curricula; recommends and implements improvements when necessary to improve learning outcomes and to ensure materials are current.

Develops methods for assessing and evaluating training effectiveness, including review and revision of learning assessment and quiz questions.

Researches e-learning training methods and trends and collaborates with subject matter experts to develop and apply appropriate designs and to ensure that e-learning content requirements are implemented.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.


Minimum Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required 
  • Associate’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, curriculum development or related field preferred. 

Experience Required: 

  • 0 - 1 year of experience with basic IT applications or educational training experience  
  • 1 year experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) 
  • Basic training delivery experience 
  • Technical knowledge related to Electronic Health Records 
  • Computer Navigation proficiency 

Experience Preferred: 

  • 1+ year of experience in designing and developing online/distance training curricula, preferably related to electronic medical records or other clinical application software that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 
  • Strong public speaking / presentation skills 
  • Epic Training experience (any application)
