Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $95,439.68
Mid = $119,299.59
Max = $143,159.51

Summary:

The Epic User and Security Application Analyst is certified in their respective Epic application and works in collaboration with the other Epic application analysts, Information Services staff, and end-users. They are responsible for performing professional duties involving the selection or development, implementation, testing, documentation, maintenance and effective utilization of Epic applications software to meet and support clinical and business Information Services (IS) needs. The Epic application analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a clear knowledge of their respective application and workflows associated with that application. They demonstrate excellent presentation skills and have an excellent ability to answer end-users questions related to their application. Epic application analysts are responsible for keeping their Epic certifications up-to-date and active.


Responsibilities:

Assess current state of workflows, future state workflows and application configurations. Identify and translate end-user and business requirements into technical solutions.

Participates in analysis, build, testing, documentation and implementation of optimization or projects. Build and test application software to meet identified needs and requirements.

Lead discussions effectively with end-users and across departments. Assess timelines for scope of work are realistic and within the allocated time by effectively demonstrating knowledge, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Participate in cross-functional, integrated teams to troubleshoot complex problems across multiple domains.

Actively participate in change control to maintain the integrity and consistency of the Epic system by ensuring that changes are introduced in a controlled and coordinated way, minimizing potential risks and unintended negative consequences.

Escalate issues and provide possible solutions to leaders. Ensure timely completion of work with appropriate supporting documentation. Coordinate across teams to ensure supporting documentation meets the needs of change control, testing, and end-user training.

Participate in application and integrated testing efforts. Use excellent communication skills to share information with users within the department and organization.

Provides guidance and training to less experienced members of I.S. staff. Ability to lead smaller projects and/or enhancements with minimal guidance. Maintains a knowledge of the Epic system and stays current with Epic certification and or NVT (new version training). 


Minimum Education Required:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience as an Epic Analyst
  • Hold current Epic certifications in one or more Epic applications: Security & Providers

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of physician/hospital workflows
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills regarding the collection and compilation of data to identify trends.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change, customer advocacy, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with clinics and/or providers
