Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Mid = $131,229.55
Max = $157,475.46

Summary:
The Azure Data Engineer supports the implementation of projects that collect, aggregate, store, reconcile, and make data accessible from disparate sources. This role enables analyses and strategic decision-making related to health system operations, value-based care, and population health. The Azure Data Engineer will play a critical role in the development of enterprise data platform solutions, supporting data management, integrations, reporting and analytics, product and application development, and advanced analytics including predictive analytics and machine learning.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with business and clinical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable, Azure-based technical solutions that enable operational efficiency, value-based care, and population health insights.

Build modern ETL/ELT pipelines, data streams, and integrations using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, and related tools to move, transform, and prepare data for analytics and reporting.

Develop and maintain data warehouse schemas, relational and non-relational databases, and enterprise data platform solutions to support advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.

Conduct data profiling, cataloging, mapping, and quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, FHIR), and implement monitoring and metrics for ongoing data integrity.

Expose data to end users through PowerBI or similar tools, supporting predictive analytics, operational reporting, and actionable insights for clinical and administrative decision-making.

Plan, implement, and optimize cloud-based data solutions, leveraging Azure technologies (Event Grid/Hub, Storage/Data Lake, Synapse Analytics) for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Partner with IT, clinicians, and other teams to design integrated solutions, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance for data management, integration, and usage across healthcare applications.

Evaluate current processes, research emerging Azure technologies, and implement innovative solutions to optimize data infrastructure, analytics, and platform performance while supporting strategic organizational goals.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years implementing data pipelines and cloud data transformation processes using Azure technologies.
